Pros +
- Breakfast wasn’t what I expected tbh , not a lot of selection
- Phenomenal architecture, I felt like a goddess in a castle. There’s nothing bad I can say for my stay in Hotek Rajastan. All positives and I will deff stay here next time I'm in Jaipur.
- Friendly Staff, family run feel. Good traditional food. Calm setting and gardens.
Cons -
- Don’t have construction going on when you have guests in Noisy guests that aren’t mindful of others . Nice enough hotel though ?
- I got food poisoned in their restaurant. They served me old food. It was likely reheated several times. I choose a more expensive hotel just so I could be safe from this cheapness from the hotel.
- Where do we start? The staff would not acknowledge the female guests, always deferring to the male regarding food, their day or the room. IF you want breakfast make sure you are there very early or you get what is left, and most of that has dried out or gone hard. The butter was full of other peoples jam and the only saving grace was the Masala Chai. We upgraded to a Superior Suite and we have no idea why it was considered to be any better. Our mats were covered in hair, we could write in the dust on the hard surfaces, the bed was soft and it was just generally grubby and tired. The plug socket next to the sink was hanging off and there were wires sticking out of the walls/ceilings. The fridge in the room was really dirty and it didn't look like the windows had been cleaned for months. The window alcove sported a lovely window seat however the old sheet covering it and dirty window killed it dead. When we asked for the room to be cleaned, the bed was remade and towels changed, but we had to ask for toilet rolls and water, and then had to wait for them, often having to collect them ourselves. Beer has to be bought with cash, although thankfully it was cold. On arrival I was told not to change the air conditioning temperature as all the rooms were linked and we would change everybody's room at the same time. It sounded like a tractor at night and the ceiling fan would often start and stop without any intervention from us. During Holi, they closed the pool which I understand however I asked if we could sit on the roof to have a drink but this request was declined. When we booked out I was asked how our stay was. When I reeled of a list of issues I was promptly advised they were very busy and they had guests back to back. Bizarrely they must have had ninjas staying as we didn't see many other guests.

It seemed to be a nice hotel.

A really nice heritage hotel with lots of old India character. The rooms were comfortable and the hotel was really nice. Staff were relatively friendly, although compared to some of the homestays we have stayed at, it had a much more clinical hotel vibe e.g. no real insights into where the best places and local knowledge you would get from a homestay.Apart from that it was really nice. Very nice and clean rooftop pool, breakfast was good, buffet style and loved the antiques in the reception area
The outside and gardens of the hotel are excellent. The gardens are well maintained and there are lots of interesting features. Whist you sit there you can view the birds and chipmunks and it can be a lovely suntrap. There is a restaurant directly opposite, a bakery about 50mtrs away and a Starbucks/restaurant about 80 metres around the corner. Apart from that there is very little for a couple of miles. The Pink City is just a short Tuk Tuk journey up the road.

The location is in the middle of the cityView was above average Basic amenities
Costly according to amenities No netflix or any other entertainment just youtube on tvEmpty fridgeNo slippers No bathrobeCheap toiletries Cheap breakfast
Staff was good ,cooperative.
Bed was average ,it could be more comfortable with high quality mattress.Breakfast can be improved if few more items added.
The gardens and the friendly staff.
The dusty smell as we walked in the room. The window curtains were stained, and the cushions were tattered. Tiny iron and ironing board on which you could not iron your clothes. Luke warm water on on 2nd day. On our third morning, we checked out as there was no hot water to shower when we woke up. We were told that it was caused by guest in another room who did not turn their taps properly. When we asked for a refund, they kept the taxes component for the 4 of 6 nights we had fully paid for. It is definitely a 2 star, and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
The location was great and in the middle of the Jaipur city. We booked 2 rooms which were too far from each other.
We booked another hotel with similar price but there were better facilities!
Quiet and beautiful building. Nice style
Bedsheets on arrival were dirty. But when we complained they changed it immediately so okay.
Attractive buildings in a nice setting. Gardens and courtyard are the best features
Ground floor room meant that it was quite noisy up until midnight. View from the window was a brick wall.
The staff was friendly and courteous and the location was excellent.
Wifi and bfast was below average. the dinner was tasty but extremely oily.
breakfast quite nicevery helpful staff. We had a problem with uber, which Amar sorted out for us.Very nice gardensgood rooftop pool and sitting areanice quiet part of townthey arranged a nice lift for us to our next stop at a reasonable price
Dinner is very tasty, hotel is beautiful, pool is excellent!
Some light comes through the curtains so bring an eye mask
Good clean hotel. The breakfast was very basic, not many options. Staff is good and very helpful. Not fancy but the hotel is well maintained. We had issue with one of the room's bathroom which was smelling quite bad but the hotel promptly moved us to another room.If the rooms were cheaper, this will exceed expectations. But for the price, I would expect more.
Stunning hotel. Beautiful rooftop pool.
Cups and glasses too small (but this seems to be a thing in India).
Everything was clean, check in was easy, and staff were helpful. Mr. Singh, the property’s taxi driver was excellent for our trip to Amber Fort. The breakfast was simple but tasty. The pool was nicely set and kept clean throughout the day. Really the star was the property and its location on a quiet, garden street. It did feel like an oasis. The property doesn’t have a bar but the property right across the path has an excellent bar with an extremely nice outdoor terrace.
Nothing really. The payment structure through booking.com wasn’t as straightforward as it should have been but was secure. My partner would have preferred a slightly more varied breakfast.
Very Friendly staff. Very Comfortable large room. Nice bars and restaurants nearby. Easy to access for taxis. Able to exchange our money.
Lots of loud nearby animal noises during the night and early morning. Breakfast was just ok. Shower smelt a bit. Air con unit noisy when not on. Wifi wasn't the best.
The hotel certainly has the wow factor. It’s a beautiful building with lovely grounds. The roof is a lovely space to sit on. We didn’t try the pool as not heated and it was cold! The hotel is in an oasis set back from the road where there are several hotels, coffe shops and restaurants amongst the run down area around. To get into Jaipur you probably need to take a tuktuk. You can walk but the road the hotel is in is very busy and very dirty.
The rooms are tired and a bit dirty. The light switch is by the door for the overhead lights. There are no bedside lights. The dining room is soulless. A few plants, lights etc will take away the canteen feel it has and make it a lot more welcoming. The hotel doesn’t serve alcohol (only small bottles of beer) so try opposite or Townsend’s down the road for great food and cocktails!
